The Edmundston Region Chamber
of Commerce offers a downtown
office and a permanent team
to better serve you. This
team manages the various issues
and projects that contribute
to our economic and social
growth, in addition to helping
finance the Chamber's overhead
and activities.
Meet the team!
Paul
Gagnon has
been with the Edmundston
Region Chamber of Commerce
since April 2000. Born
in Edmundston, Paul worked
with various Caisses populaires
as a coordinator, credit
analyst and general manager
for almost twenty years.
He has a Bachelor's degree
from the Université
de Moncton, as well as a
Master's degree in political
science from Queen's University.
Mr. Gagnon certainly has
the skills and knowledge
required to work with the
region's various social
and economic organisations.
As General Manager, Mr.
Gagnon is in charge of all
the day to day operations
of the Chamber, including
recuring activities and
budget. Furthermore, he
coordinates special projects
such as the Seasonnal Work
Commitee, Emploihabilité Plus
along with New Brunswick
Chamber of Commerce administrative
services.
He works in close collaboration
with his team to ensure
that the Chamber's daily
operations run smoothly.
Implementing the Board of
directors' policies, goals
and strategic plan objectives
are also his responsability.
Nathalie
Martin was hired as Adminsitrative
Assistant on March 7, 2005.
A native of Saint-Basile,
Nathalie has worked in the
Caisses Populaires movement,
and more recently, with the
Regional Health Authority
4 in an administrative support
position at Payroll Services
and Human Ressources. She
holds a post secondary diploma
in Business Administration.
She is particularly interested
in financial and management
accounting, economics, marketing,
as well as information technology
as applied to business.
With
her great sense of responsibility
and organisation, Nathalie
has distinguished herself
in the social and cultural
departments of the Acadia
Games, at the Youth Exhibition,
and also with the Junior
Achievement organisation
where she won the « Business
of the Year » award
in 1996. There is little
doubt that Nathalie has the
knowledge and the experience
required to deal with the
various economic players
in our region.
Nathalie and
her partner, Dave Boutot,
live in the Saint-Jacques
area.
Carole Roberge
Originally from Grand Falls, Carole has numerous qualifications in office management, financial accounting and bookeeping as well as computer skills, all obtained at the local Community College. In 1998, she was hired as Administrative Secretary by the sole owner of three businesses: P.C.L. Transport, Grand Falls Aviation Service and Synnyhill Enterprise. In handling all three companies simultaneously, it goes without saying that Carole acquired a lot of experience and competence in administration, not to mention 20 years experience in dealing with the public.
For the past 15 years, she has carried out numerous tasks and services as a volunteer for various organisations and associations. In her new position at the Chamber, she will be under the supervision of Nathalie Martin and can be reached at (506) 737-1866.
